Results From S.O.T.Y # 2 & Points

The second contest of the year was held on Saturday 31st January at Long Beach, Christ Church.
Once again, surfers competed in seven divisions: Open; Juniors- Under 15 and 15-18; Ladies; Longboard; Masters and Body Board. Despite the inclement weather early in the day and the pretty difficult conditions with waves in the2 – 4 ft range there was an excellent turn-out and the competition was keen. This event was the second of three, which will go towards picking the National team to compete in the upcoming ISA World Surfing Games in Ecuador in March. The top four competitors in each Division received awards while the top four competitors in the Open received a cash prize compliments of Brown Sugar Restaurant. In addition, competitors in the Under 15 Division were once again awarded participation medals compliments of D. Blades Trophies Ltd. Mrs. Margot Tuach, was Best Judge for this contest.
